PM Modi declares 7th August will be Celebrated as National Handloom Day
Prime Minister Mr. Narendra modi declares that 7th august will be celebrated as National Handloom Day which is announced at the special function held in chennai. The day Swadeshi Movement was launched in 1905.
The main aim of "India Handloom" to promote handloom of india in the global market.
7th August was selected to reminisce the 110 year old Swadeshi Movement.
Union Textiles Minister Santosh Gangwar said to prime minister regard this and plans to organise a national level function in which a large number of handloom weavers and eminent personalities would be invited.
Union Textiles Minister Santosh Gangwar invited Mr. Modi to be the chief guest on the occasion to boost the morale of handloom weavers of the country.
