PM Narendra Modi congratulates Special Olympics medal winners - 2015


Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the performance of Indian contingent for winning 173 medals, including 47 Gold, 54 Silver and 72 Bronze have been won by our athletes in Los Angeles at the Special Olympic World Summer Games 2015. He twitted, Achievements of Indian player at LA 2015 Special Olympics are truly gladdening. They are pride of India.



Prime minister wrote, the LA 2015 Special Olympics were a triumph of determination, hard work and sportsman spirit. Congratulations to all athletes who participated. The 275-member strong Indian contingent won 47 gold, 54 silver and 72 bronze in 14 disciplines during the nine-day event which was ended on 2nd August. In the last edition of the games held in Athens, Greece India had won 156 medals 56 gold, 48 silver and 52 bronze.
